Wienerberger India’s Kunigal plant has achieved another milestone in the journey towards sustainability and eco-consciousness. CII (The Confederation of Indian Industry) has conferred Greenco Silver Rating to Wienerberger India’s Kunigal plant.

Wienerberger India has been awarded with the prestigious CII National Award for Environmental Best Practices 2024 for its groundbreaking project, "Utilization of Renewable Energy - Thermal for Bricks Manufacturing." 

Wienerberger India, today announced that it has gone a step further in its endeavour to achieve sustainability in production by switching to Natural Gas from conventional solid fuel for the Brick Kiln firing process at its factory operations in Kunigal.

The investment will also be used for its expansion plans including implementation of new equipment, converting to natural gas and launch of new building solutions.
